On a more practical note, we also complete all the paper work and monitor the process from application to completion, which often means chasing lenders, solicitors and estate agents on your behalf to minimise delays and errors.

The end result for our clients if often a mortgage process with far less stress and property transactions completed on time.

Getting Ready for Your First Mortgage Meeting

Securing a mortgage involves various milestones throughout the process, the first of which is the market search to find a lender and product which best meets your individual needs.

To ensure a successful search, our mortgage broker will first need to confirm various details about your finances including your monthly affordability, which then determines the amount you can borrow. A big part of your initial meeting with an adviser will involve asking questions about your needs and financial situation, which must be backed up with documents to satisfy any lenders decision criteria.

To make your first meeting as productive as possible, it’s important to have the following documents with you, so the adviser can start your mortgage search quickly and have everything ready to secure your agreement in principle…

  1. Latest three months bank statements
  2. Latest three months payslips or certified accounts
  3. Details of any existing borrowing including credit cards, loans or mortgages
  4. Evidence of identity using a valid driving licence or passport
  5. Evidence of address using your latest council tax or utility bill
  6. An up-to-date credit report would also be useful

If you have any questions about providing these documents or any other financial information, please contact us before your mortgage consultation.
